Wednesday, January 11, 2006 ::: Came across Weezer's new video (that was released ages ago) for their 3rd single off Make Believe. Check out 'Perfect Situation' on music.aol.com Nice video to a great track. It's a revisit to Make Believe - and it's such a great album by any standards. Perhaps the music don't really stand out that much but the fact that not many other bands are doing this anymore simply make the lads fantastic. Beverly Hills, Perfect Situation, This Is Such A Pity, The Damage Of Your Heart... There are no bad tracks from this album really. And it was the wirez website that introduced me to Weezer. Hopefully we'll see the site up soon. Remembering the good old times when 'wirez' was still up and running. All the anticipation for Coldplay's X&Y... the moment when 'Speed Of Sound' leaked. The tonnes of links. Well, that guy who runs the music is a music buyer. So am I. And that 'ages ago' was only 2005. Why, I wonder. And remember Lene Marlin? The girl who sang Unforgivable Sinner? The 'I'm sitting down here but hey can you see me...' tune that was quite big way back ago? She's actually still around, and this is her latest effort. She's released her sophomore album 2 years ago but nobody actually noticed. BUT, listen to her 3rd album and you'll notice she's still sticking to the formula. Although you can't expect her to top her debut singles, this is not bad really. Nevermind the lyrics, I think English is not her native language anyway, those songs are decent enough to get some radio airplay. "I want to help you but i don't know how I want to soothe you but I can't speak out I have many fears about rejection I have many memories of pain I have always been a little shy So I turn and look the other way... other way..."
